In Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus [Ephesians 6:10-20], his final focus was to assert their need to Get Ready for the life that awaited them as early believers.  In the same way as this New Year stretches ahead of us, we need to take Paul’s words to heart.  Looking ahead to this “new day” we need to be strong in the Lord, to be resolute in our calling, and to Get Ready!

In Ephesians 5:15-21 Paul tells the church to be careful how they live, to be wise and not foolish.  The same applies to us today.  We are to be intentional, careful, and “on-purpose” with how we live.  Paul gives some great things to keep in mind as we push forward in our walk with Jesus and Live Carefully…

In Ephesians 4:7-16 the Apostle Paul tells the Church in Ephesus that they’ve each been given “grace” by Christ in the form of a gifting, or ability, to be used for the building up of other believers.  In the same way, we each have an assignment from Christ, a gracious opportunity to partner with Him in ministry.  We each have a part to play …

In Ephesians 4:1-6, the Apostle Paul begins to speak to the church in Ephesus  about how they should conduct themselves as believers.  He urges them to live a life worthy of the calling and lists humility, patience and unity as a start.  As believers, we have also received a “calling” from God and are to live a life worthy being called, “Christian.”
